Distant Turkish Test Platform (UTS)

UTS is a distance test platform where you can learn, apply to certify your and track your Turkish level online. This R&D project is supported by TÜBİTAK-TİDEB (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).

The method of evaluation of UTS has been formed by uniting the implication of proficiencies of European Language Portfolio  on Turkish and the properties of patterns that are aimed for the usage of Turkish. The skills that are evaluated in UTS are speaking, verbal expression, written expression, reading, listening and grammar.

For each of these proficiencies there are three levels named basic, intermediate and advanced. Our content partner which is  the only institution that is elligable to give European Language Passport to the adults is Ankara University TÖMER. With the experience and works of TÖMER, and by structurally implicating the proficiencies that take place in European Language Passport on Turkish, the reflection of these proficiencies on the test questions has been established.

We are pleased to announce that an appointment system starting from 16th May, 2005, has been established by this Consulate General for visa applications.

Please be informed that the online appointment system for visa applications to Turkey is now installed on our website. Visa applicants should make an online appointment through this system at http://www.turkishconsulate.org.uk/en/visa before coming to the Consulate.

Please note that visa applicants without an appointment will not be accepted at the Consulate after 16th May, 2005.
