16/05/2013 - Announcement

1-As of April 17, 2013, electronic visa (e-Visa) replaces “sticker visa” which was issued at the border crossings. For more  information please  visit  www.evisa.gov.tr   web site. 

2-Visa applications made to the Consulate General must be made in person. In addition, all applicants are required to make an online appointment. The Turkish Consulate General has no service contracts with visa service firms. Applications made through visa service companies will not be processed. On the other hand, companies operating in the tourism or transport sectors, engaged in high volume of commercial acitivity with Turkey are advised to assign one of their employees to directly submit multiple applications on behalf of the company concerned. Proof of ID will be required from company staff.

TOURIST VISA FOR ORDINARY PASSPORT HOLDERS (ALL COUNTRIES)

Please note that tourist visas do not give you the right to take up paid or unpaid employment or to reside, or to study (including student exchange program) or to establish yourself in business in Turkey.

IMPORTANT NOTE: British National Overseas, British Subject  and British Protected Person passport holders should obtain their visas from this Consulate before traveling to Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 1)  You need to apply to  this Consulate General to obtain tourist visa. Your application is going to be referred to the relevant Turkish authorities for their approval which generally takes minimum six to eight weeks to finalize. British passport holders can obtain tourist visa either at the port of entry in Turkey for £10,00 or from this Consulate General for £ 68.00.

IMPORTANT NOTE: British National Overseas, British Subject  and British Protected Person passport holders should contact visa section of this Consulate before traveling to Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 5)You do not require tourist  visa to enter Turkey for your stay up to 90 Days

FOOTNOTE 6)You do not require tourist visa to enter to Turkey for your stay up to 30 days. All other type of visa applicants need to apply to this Consulate General. Please click here to make an online appointment for visa application to Consulate General.

FOOTNOTE 7) You do not require tourist  visa to enter Turkey for your stay up to 60 Days.

FOOTNOTE 8) You do not require tourist  visa to enter Turkey for your stay up to 90 Days (This visa exemption does  not apply to those who enter Turkey through following Turkish custom points: Sarp, Posof-Türközü, Çıldır-Aktaş, Iğdır-Dilucu, Ağrı-Gürbulak, Hakkari-Esendere, Van-Kapıköy, Nusaybin, Yayladağı, Cilvegözü, Öncüpınar, Islahiye, Çobanbey, Akçakale, Şenyurt). You do require a visa for your transit passages. For your transit visa, you need to apply this Consulate General, please click here to make an online appointment for visa applications to Turkey. Your application is going to be referred to the relevant Turkish authorities for their approval which generally takes minimum six to eight weeks (Depending on your residential status in the UK, this period of time can be reduced to one-two week. Therefore, please clarify your residential status during your application). 

FOOTNOTE 9) You require tourist  visa to enter Turkey. You can obtain a 15 Days sticker type entry visa at the port of entry in Turkey. If you would  like to obtain your visa through this Consulate General, please click here to make an online appointment for visa applications to Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 10) Please note that you are required to have a certain amount of money (50 $ per day) while you enter Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 11) Please note that you are required to have a certain amount of money (100 $ per day) while you enter Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 14) You require entry visa to enter Turkey. You can obtain a 60 Days entry - sticker - type  visa at the port of entry in Turkey (The visa to be issued at the port of entry is multiple for the nationals of Belarus, Russian Federation, Ukraine). FOOTNOTE 15) You require entry visa to enter Turkey. You can obtain a 30 Days sticker type entry visa at the port of entry in Turkey. If you would like to obtain your visa through this Consulate General, please click here to make an online appointment for visa applications to Turkey.

FOOTNOTE 16) You require  visa to enter Turkey. You can obtain a sticker type visa with a duration of stay up to 30 Days at the port of entry in Turkey. FOOTNOTE 17) You do not require visa (for tourism or business purposes) to enter Turkey for your stay up to 90 Days. However, you cannot overstay 180 days in a year without visa. If your total stay in Turkey is more than 180 days in the year that you are intending to go to Turkey, you will need to apply to this Consulate to obtain a visa. FOOTNOTE 18) You do not require tourist visa to enter to Turkey for your stay up to 90 days within 180 days.

FOOTNOTE  19)  You require visa to enter to Turkey. Valid UK, Schengen or USA visa holders can obtain 30 days single entry sticker type of visa on arrival in Turkey (tourists or business visitors only).  You require to submit, minimum 6 months valid passport, accommadation details and return ticket.  All other type of visa applicants need  to apply to this Consulate General.  If you would like to obtain your visa through this Consulate General please click here to make an online appointment.

FOOTNOTE 20) You require a visa  to enter to Turkey. Valid UK, other OECD countries  or Schengen visa holders, can obtain 30 days sticker type of visit visa at the port of entry. You need to travel with Tukish Airlanes to Istanbul Ataturk Airport only. You also required to submit minimum 6 months valid passport, accommadation details and your return ticket (with Turkish Airlanes from Istanbul Ataturk Airport only)  All other type of visa applicants need to apply to this Consulate General. FOOTNOTE  21)  You require visa to enter to Turkey. Valid,  USA  or Canada visa holders or minimum 1 year valid UK, Japan, USA, Canada, Schengen Residence Permit holders can obtain 90 days multiple entry sticker type of visa on arrival in Turkey (tourists or business visitors only). You can stay maximum 90 days within 180 days.  You require to submit, minimum 6 months valid passport.  All other type of visa applicants need  to apply to this Consulate General.  If you would like to obtain your visa through this Consulate General please click here to make an online appointment.
